Reference: ISR-01 "Handicamp Israel 2008"
Offer: Rotary District 2490 in association with "ILAN", the Israeli Foundation for physically handicapped young people, invites physically handicapped young people together with their able bodied escorts to attend their summer camp.
Accommodation: Participants will stay in Tuval, a Summer Camp for Young Leaders which is also equipped for young handicapped people.
Dates: Sunday 17th August to Sunday 31st August 2008
Age Group and Gender: Participants must have passed their 17th birthday but not reached their 25th birthday at the start of the camp (age limits apply equally to handicapped participants and their able bodied escorts).
Cost: Return travel to Tel Aviv Ben Gurion airport plus additional pocket money and insurance.
Insurance and Official papers: You will require insurance against illness, accident, third party claims and luggage loss. You should be able to provide evidence of insurance to the organisers.
There is a medical form which has to be completed by a doctor in respect of handicapped participants. This will be provided to applicants.
Programme: Visits to historical and biblical sites such as : Jerusalem , Sea of Galilee , Nazereth , etc.
Arts and Crafts , Games and Sports , Social activities, Fun , Seashore & Swimmingpool activities, Picnics, Parties, etc.
Participants will be collected from and returned to Ben Gurion Airport by Rotarians.
Closing Date: 15th June 2008. The camp is limited to 24 people. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
