invites you to their summer camp. A week in the desert and the Red
Sea, tour of Jerusalem and a week in the north, including Nazareth
and the Sea of Galilee. |
| Accommodation: |
During the week participants
will sleep in "full terrain standards" which means tents
and sleeping bags. There will be field showers and a field kitchen. |

| Age Group and Gender: |
1M or 1F who have passed
their 18th birthday but not reached their 24th birthday at the start
of the camp. |
| Cost: |
Return travel to Tel Aviv
Ben Gurion airport plus a fee of €200 to cover special events
and security plus additional pocket money and insurance. |
| Insurance and Official papers: |
You will require insurance
against illness, accident, third party claims and luggage loss. You
should be able to provide evidence of insurance to the organisers. |
| Programme: |
The first week will be
spent in the southern part of the country, encountering the landscape,
climate, flora and fauna of the desert. Trips by quadro (4X4) vehicles,
camel/donkey riding and trekking to different attraction sites. Swimming
pool and sport facilities. Visiting the Israeli Air Force Museum near
Beersheba and the weekend in Eilat (the most southern city of Israel)
and the Red Sea.
The second week, leaving
the desert and moving north. Visiting and bathing in the Dead Sea
(the lowest place on earth). Climbing Massada fortress – the
heroic monument of the Jewish rebellion against the Romans. A trip
to Jerusalem – The old city and the new city. Moving further
north – Sightseeing in the Galilee area, including the Holy
Places in Nazareth, the Jordan River, the Lake of Galilee and more.
Participants are then
invited and encouraged to attend the District 2490 International
RYLA seminar from 3rd to 6th August. The theme of the seminar will
be "The Prevention of Juvenile Violence". There is an
additional cost of €100 for participation in the RYLA Seminar.
