IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING LONG TERM EXCHANGE PROGRAMME
Unfortunately we are unable currently to arrange long term exchanges with any other than a European Union country. The immigration rules currently prohibit the issue of exchange student visas for entry into the UK to young people from non EU countries for any period longer than 6 months. As our programme is an exchange programme then if we cannot offer a place for twelve months for a student in exchange it cannot work. This is a legacy of the previous government and we are currently in discussion with the new government in an attempt to get the restriction lifted.
We hope that common sense will soon prevail.
There are no restrictions on the New Generations or Short Term Exchange programmes as these are for less than six months.
These restrictions do not apply to applications from the Irish Republic.
